Ready, Set, Read was an additional summer reading program created by the West Springfield Public Library and the Soupy for Loopy Foundation. A total of 16 “souper” kids read nearly 170 books from Laura’s Loft, a comfortable nook in the library that is filled with some of Laura's favorite books, movies and CDs. The boys and girls who participated in this program raised over $800 for childhood cancer research and treatments by requesting donations of $1 per book from family, friends and neighbors. They also became eligible for weekly drawings and special MP3 drawings. You’re the best!
