1st Annual Soupy for Loopy fundraiser in October, 2006
On Saturday, October 14, 2006, between the hours of 11 AM and 9 PM, family members of Laura Sypek and B’Shara’s Eatery hosted the first “Soupy for Loopy” fundraiser for Neuroblastoma research. B’Shara’s Eatery in West Springfield, Massachusetts, agreed to donate all proceeds from the sale of Laura’s favorite soup sold on Saturday, October 14th, to Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF). Over 400 bowls of Laura’s favorite soup were sold that day and $3846 was raised to help find a cure for Neuroblastoma. Laura would have turned 12 years old that day and this was a family’s way to honor Laura’s spirit and her remarkable courage. We’re sure she would have been pleased with the wonderful turnout.
