About Us

Soupy for Loopy Foundation, Inc. is an all-volunteer, registered 501 (C) (3) charitable organization with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Office of the Attorney General, Division of Public Charities and is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This foundation was established in 2007 after our family’s devastating loss of Laura A. Sypek to Neuroblastoma on June 12, 2006 at the age of 11. Our hope is that Laura’s endless zest for life under such dire circumstances will serve as a heroic example for all who feel compelled to join this crusade and help save lives of children with cancer.

Laura received wonderful medical care at Baystate Medical Center Children's Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Although Laura was able to maintain a quality of life that allowed her to just be a kid and do things that other kids did, the best treatments, while they worked for a while, failed to save her life. We need to do more and do it now!

Soupy for Loopy Foundation has gone GREEN!!!

Since August 25, 2008, our official foundation stationery is printed on recycled paper. The all-volunteer staff of Soupy for Loopy Foundation is proud of its commitment to protect the environment while fulfilling its mission to raise awareness and funding for neuroblastoma research and treatments and ultimately a cure.
